Independent Scientific Advisory
Founded by Dr Xavier Sirault, PhD
Plant Science · AI · Ag-Food Innovation
The gap between what Ag-Food science can do and what organisations can confidently decide is where most R&D investment gets lost. That gap is what we close.
Track Record
Primary Evidence, Not Opinion
Every claim traceable to primary literature. Genuine uncertainties named. Derivative opinion separated from established fact.
Built It, Not Just Advised on It
3 granted patents. Technologies licensed for manufacturing. CSIRO Breakthrough Innovation Award. $10M+ infrastructure managed.
No Institutional Overhead
Independent. No junior analysts doing the work. No procurement delays. More specific to your problem, faster to deploy.
What We Offer
From plant phenomics and ingredient innovation to any domain where you need to know what the evidence actually shows versus what the market claims.
01
Strategic design of AI and data analytics programmes for Ag-Food R&D — from architecture and scope through to delivery roadmap. Built for organisations moving from aspiration to programme.
02
Structured, epistemically-grounded synthesis of any Ag-Food domain — mapping what primary evidence shows, where genuine uncertainties lie, and where opinion has been mistaken for fact.
03
Independent evaluation of whether a technology is commercially ready, promising, or premature — grounded in primary science, IP landscape analysis, and market context.
04
Technical assessment for investment, acquisition, or partnership decisions in Ag-Food and plant science. We assess whether the science is genuinely novel, derivative, or overstated.
05
Strategic design and advisory for AI, predictive analytics, and statistical modelling programmes across Ag-Food and life sciences — crop improvement analytics, ingredient functionality modelling, agricultural systems analysis, and data-driven decision support. Grounded in leading CSIRO's $2M AI for Missions programme. If your domain has data and a scientific question, that is the work.
06
Tailored intelligence briefings for investment, policy, and strategic decisions across Ag-Food and adjacent life sciences. Scoped to your specific question, not a general survey.
Background
AIAgriXpert Consulting was founded by Dr Xavier Sirault — plant scientist, AI programme leader, and independent advisor with over 25 years at CSIRO. He has spent his career building things that didn't exist before: the phenomobile® field phenotyping platform (trademark registered, licensed for manufacturing, CSIRO Breakthrough Innovation Award 2017); PlantScan, a 3D plant imaging system; and phenoSMART, a cloud analytics platform validated on 500,000 agricultural plots.
As Director of CSIRO's High Resolution Plant Phenomics Centre — Australia's node of the APPF — he led 22+ engineers and scientists, managed $10M+ in national infrastructure funding, and delivered $500K–$750K/year in project and consulting revenue. He co-founded the International Plant Phenotyping Network (IPPN), serving as its inaugural Vice Chair.
His most recent work at CSIRO: Science Leader for the AI for Missions programme, designing predictive analytics infrastructure connecting seed biochemistry, molecular structures, and manufacturing processes to predict techno-functional properties of plant-based ingredients before processing.
AIAgriXpert is based in the Greater Canberra Area, NSW. Available globally for remote engagements and travel for key in-person work.
